The Dorr Puma 8x32 is the lightest binocular in the Puma range: a waterproof roof prism pair that weighs 485g and slips into a jacket or rucksack pocket. It suits walkers, travellers and anyone who wants binoculars with them every time they go out.
At 485g and 12cm tall the 8x32 is noticeably smaller than a 42mm binocular, so it is no burden on a long walk or round your neck all day. The 8x magnification keeps the view steady in the hand.
The 137m field of view at 1000m makes it quick to find a bird, follow a deer across a field or pick out a boat on the water. The 4mm exit pupil is plenty in daylight; for dull days and dusk a 42mm or 56mm Puma is brighter.
The magnesium alloy body is rubber armoured and sealed to 1m for 30 minutes, then nitrogen filled so the lenses do not mist up inside.
BaK-4 roof prisms with phase and dielectric coatings give a sharp, natural looking image, and every lens surface is fully multicoated. Twist-up eyecups make the binocular comfortable with or without glasses.
The Puma 8x42 is the all-round birdwatching size with a brighter view in poor light. The Puma 10x42 gives more reach, and the Puma 8x56 is built for dawn and dusk.
Binoculars, carry bag, neck strap, eyepiece and objective caps, and a cleaning cloth. A 1/4 inch thread under the focus wheel takes a tripod adapter.
