We provide camera repair services for most makes and models through our trusted service partners.
Even the highest-quality cameras can experience faults. If your camera needs repairing, we’re here to help. Our expert in-store team can assess any faults, and minor issues are often resolved immediately, while error codes are carefully evaluated. In such cases, we can liaise directly with the manufacturer or refer your equipment to an independent repairer for a comprehensive estimate.
Issues such as faulty shutters or light leaks on analogue cameras are generally addressed swiftly in-store, whereas more extensive repairs are usually sent away.
We ensure you are kept informed at every stage of the repair process, with an expected turnaround time of four to six weeks.
As a camera repair shop, we can also examine a broken camera lens. In some cases, repairs can be carried out on the premises; otherwise, we work with a wide range of high-quality lens repair specialists who can restore the lens to the manufacturer’s specifications. We also maintain excellent relationships with major lens manufacturers and often refer more complex repairs to them.
The turnaround time for a lens repair is typically four to six weeks.
Binoculars are delicate and can easily be knocked or dropped, which may cause misalignment. Misaligned binoculars produce double vision and become unusable. We can send faulty binoculars to the manufacturer, who can usually repair them and restore them to as-new condition. Lost eyecups and missing screws can also be replaced cheaply, giving your binoculars a fresh lease of life.
We also offer in-store photo recovery. If you have a faulty memory card or have accidentally deleted your images, we can help. Simply bring your memory card to us, and we will use specialist recovery tools to attempt to recover your lost images.
Our charges are £40 for up to 64GB, £50 for 128GB, and £65 for 256GB. Recovered images will be provided on a USB stick, included in the price.
We only charge if we are able to successfully recover images from your memory card.
It's fairly common to see lens filters that are damaged and cannot be easily removed, usually as a result of an impact.
We offer an in-house service to remove a broken filter from a lens. This service usually only takes a few days and costs just £20. In most cases, there is no damage to the lens once the broken filter is removed.
To help keep your camera operating at its best, we offer in-store firmware updates. This service is free of charge for customers who purchased their camera from us in the last 12 months (new or used). For new customers who purchased elsewhere, there is a small fee of £10.
Firmware updates are carried out at both our Sheffield store and Chesterfield Click and Collect location. Please allow up to 1 hour for the update to be completed.
We offer in-house camera sensor cleaning from just £39.99. Our team can clean most makes and models of interchangeable lens cameras, such as DSLR or Mirrorless cameras.
Please bring your camera with a fully charged battery, ideally including a lens and a memory card. The general turnaround is 3-5 working days. You can book your camera for a sensor clean here.
