Yes. You can either sell your equipment outright for cash or use its value as a part-exchange against something we have in stock. Just let us know which option you prefer when completing the form.
We base our valuation on the make, model, condition, age and current market demand. Prices are fair, realistic and reflect what the item can genuinely sell for, not an inflated headline figure that later changes.
Quotes are subject to inspection once we receive the equipment. As long as the condition matches what was described on the form, the price will not change. If there is any difference, we will always contact you before proceeding.
Original boxes required if your equipment is classed as mint. Chargers, batteries, caps, hoods and other standard accessories do affect the value, so please include everything you have. At the very least, a UK charger and battery is required for all camera trade-ins.
We accept items in most conditions, from mint to well-used. Faulty or damaged items can still be considered, but please describe any issues honestly so we can give an accurate quote.
Once you accept our quote, we will provide clear instructions for safely packaging your items. If you live in the UK we can offer a free fully-insured courier collection. You can also bring your items into our Sheffield store.
Once we receive your equipment, inspection is usually completed within 1–2 working days. Payment or part-exchange confirmation follows shortly after.
Payments are made by bank transfer. Once your equipment has been checked and the quote confirmed, payment will be scheduled and will arrive in your account in 2 working days.
If you decide not to go ahead after inspection, we can return your equipment to you free of charge. (UK only)
Yes, but sending your items to us may incur taxes/duty which you will need to pay before we can receive your equipment. If in doubt contact us before sending your parcel.

Terms & conditions
When selling used equipment to us, the seller confirms that that they have been lawfully acquired, that it is the sellers unencumbered property, and that the Title of the items belongs to the seller. All VAT and other Duties must have been paid. The seller also confirms that they are lawfully able to dispose of the goods. The seller must be over 16 years. Ron Harrison Ltd. acquires the Title of the products, once a payment has been initiated to the seller. Purchases are made in good faith, and are subject to national and local Acts.
No offer of value shall be binding until the payment is initiated. This is fair to both parties, and allows us to inspect the goods in detail. Should a revised offer be unacceptable to the vendor, then we will return the items to the address where the goods were dispatched from, at no charge to the vendor. Payment shall be made direct to the sellers bank account, and this account must be in the name (or jointly in the name of) the seller. BACS payments usually clear within 72 hours. SEPA payments usually clear by the end of the following working day.
We may ask for proof of ownership at any time before your trade-in is complete. If you are unable to provide sufficient proof of ownership when asked, we may decide not to proceed with the transaction and instead return your equipment to you.
