Ground-breaking intelligent AF
The R5's autofocus is programmed using a deep-learning AI - first developed for Canon's ground-breaking EOS-1D X Mark III. This enables the Canon R5 to recognise and track a subject’s face and eyes with new levels of accuracy and precision, even when viewed from the side. This tracking ability is also available when photographing dogs, cats and birds, as well as motor vehicles – this is a first for Canon's EOS cameras.
