The Sigma 20-200mm F3.5-6.3 DG Contemporary for Sony E is a full-frame all-in-one zoom that starts at an ultra-wide 20mm. Sigma launched it in 2025 as the world's first 20-200mm, and at 540g one lens on an a7 IV, a7C II or a7R V covers landscapes, interiors, portraits and distant details.

Ultra-wide to telephotoMost travel zooms start at 24mm or 28mm. Starting at 20mm gives a noticeably wider view for cityscapes, interiors and big landscapes, while 200mm still reaches distant subjects. |

Close-up abilityIt focuses down to 16.5cm at 28mm and reaches 1:2 magnification between 28mm and 85mm, so flowers, food and small details are easy. |

Optical designThere are 18 elements in 14 groups, including one FLD, three SLD and four aspherical elements. An HLA linear motor gives fast, quiet autofocus. |

BuildThe body is dust- and splash-resistant, the front element has a water- and oil-repellent coating, and a zoom lock stops the barrel extending in a bag. There is no optical stabilisation, so it relies on in-body stabilisation. |
This is for travellers who want one lens from ultra-wide to telephoto. For more reach the Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS goes much further, and the Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN is brighter for low light.
Also available for L-Mount.
