Product Description

Sigma 16mm F1.4 L-Mount Lens DC DN C

Part of SIGMA’s impressive Contemporary Series, the SIGMA 16mm F1.4 L-Mount Lens DC DN C is designed specifically for mirrorless cameras and boasts a compact, lightweight construction that is perfect for everyday use. With its ultra-wide design and bright f1.4 aperture, you can control depth of field and work in low light easily – ideal for capturing a range of subjects, from landscape to architecture.

Shooting Wide-open

The 16mm focal length of this prime lens gives you the ability to completely control depth of field. Paired with the 9-blade rounded diaphragm and bright F1.4 aperture, you can achieve beautiful blur in those out-of-focus areas.

Optical Design

Featuring 16 elements in 13 groups, including three FLD glass elements, two SLD glass elements, and two moulded glass aspherical elements. The clever technology and placement of these lenses ensures the system reduces the effects of optical aberrations to ensure resolution is uniform throughout the focal range – even at the widest aperture.

SIGMA’s Super-Multi-Layer coating works to minimise flare and ghosting so images have edge-to-edge sharpness – even in backlit conditions. The included lens hood can also be attached to block out bright light sources that may affect the rendering performance.

Fast AF Performance and Hand-held Capabilities

The special design of the focus lens group works with the stepping motor to drive smooth, fast and near-silent autofocus during video shooting. Use the face recognition AF feature to keep subjects consistently in focus as they move. Thanks to its lightweight structure, you can confidently shoot hand-held and produce outstanding footage.

Durability

The SIGMA 16mm lens has been engineered to be put through everyday use. Featuring a brass bayonet mount to give the lens extra strength and durability, as well as the included lens hood that not only cuts out harmful rays but gives you extra grip thanks to its rubber construction. Special sealing has been placed on the mount to give it both dust and splash resistance. You can feel confident that this lens will withstand a wide variety of conditions, giving you more freedom to find the perfect shot.
