Thornfield HouseSigma 105mm F2.8 DG DN Macro Art Lens for Sony E
Our Price: £698.00
The Sigma 105mm F2.8 DG DN Macro Art for Sony E is a full-frame macro lens that reaches life-size, 1:1 magnification. Sigma's first Art macro for mirrorless cameras, it is sharp from close-up to infinity, so on an a7 IV, a7C II or a7R V it works for insects, flowers, products and jewellery as well as portraits.
![]() |
True 1:1 macroIt focuses down to 29.5cm and reaches 1:1, so a subject the size of the sensor fills the frame. On Sony E there is no teleconverter support, so 1:1 is the limit. |
![]() |
Image qualityThere are 17 elements in 12 groups, including an SLD element, with axial colour fringing well controlled. Sigma designed it to be sharp at every distance, not only close up. |

ControlsA three-position focus limiter speeds up autofocus when you work close or far, and there is an aperture ring with a click switch and a lock, plus an AFL button. |

Built for the fieldThe body is dust- and splash-resistant, and the front element has a water- and oil-repellent coating. |

1:1, life size, at its closest focus of 29.5cm.
Yes. It is sharp at normal distances and 105mm gives flattering perspective.
Not on Sony E. Sigma's teleconverters are L-Mount only.
The 29.5cm minimum focus is measured from the sensor, so the gap between the front of the lens and the subject is much shorter than that. Leaving the hood off gives you a little more room with timid insects.
710g.
A case, the LH653-01 hood, front cap and rear cap.
