The AF 85mm F1.8 Neo is a lightweight 85mm prime lens that’s made for capturing portraits, people and everyday moments. With its fast f/1.8 aperture, it gives you plenty of control over depth of field, helping your subject stand out against a soft, naturally blurred background.
At around 332g, it’s light enough to carry all day without feeling like a burden. The reinforced fibreglass composite construction keeps the lens durable, while the simple design makes it straightforward to use, with no focus or aperture rings to get in the way.
The optical design uses 12 elements in 8 groups, including ED and high-index elements, to deliver sharp, detailed images with natural colour and good edge-to-edge performance. Even when shooting at f/1.8, you can expect plenty of detail while enjoying the smooth bokeh that makes an 85mm prime so popular for portraits.
Autofocus is handled by an STM stepping motor, giving you fast and quiet focusing for both photography and video. Eye and face detection also help keep your subject in focus, while the 0.8m minimum focusing distance means you can get closer when you need to.
If you’re looking for a compact, lightweight 85mm prime with a bright f/1.8 aperture, the AF 85mm F1.8 Neo is a versatile option for portraits, people and everyday photography.
Fully compatible with Full Frame Nikon Z mount cameras.
