The Think Tank Retrospective 5 is a soft-sided camera shoulder bag, which is the perfect size for Mirrorless, DSLR, Micro Four Thirds and rangefinder camera systems. With Hook and Loop "Sound Silencers" on the front flap to eliminate noise while opening the bag, you can remain inconspicuous in any situation.
The product designers have blended the look and feel of "old-school" camera bags and infused it with "new-school" features and technology for the digital imaging age. This lightweight, ergonomically designed bag uses soft and supple fabrics that conform to your body. The colours are derived and influenced by nature, and the features and quality that you have come to expect from Think Tank Camera bags all come together to form the Retrospective collection. The Retrospectives come in: black poly spun fabric, pinestone, sandstone or slate blue cotton canvas. This series of camera shoulder bags is full of individual character and uncompromising quality, influenced by the past and made for professionals.
All fabric exterior treated with DWR while fabric underside is coated with PU for superior water resistance, sand-washed 100% cotton canvas, antique nickel plated metal hardware, YKK® RC Fuse (abrasion resistant) zippers, nylon webbing, 3-ply bonded nylon thread
Removable closed cell foam inserts with PE board stiffener, 210D silver-toned nylon, PU backed velex, 2x PU coated nylon 210T seam-sealed taffeta rain cover, 3-ply bonded nylon thread
Nice little bag that fits my Olympus E-M10 with Lumix 14-140mm lens very nicely with room to spare for a water bottle, sunglasses, phone, e-book and other sundries.
The two side pockets are a bit redundant - they're very hard to get anything into and out of. And the shoulder strap padding thing is a bit much (I took it off as a bag this small can never get that heavy - but you do have to destroy it to take it off). Those are my only criticisms though.
I’ve been on the lookout for a compact, inconspicuous bag for my Fuji X-T5 and after reading a lot of reviews, I settled on this ThinkTank Retrospective 5. It fits my needs perfectly - plenty of space for the camera with 16-80 fitted together with another large prime lens and plenty of extra space for batteries, blower etc.
While this is the V1 version of the bag (the V2 has a few more features), it’s a great bag and and is very well designed and constructed to Think Tank’s usual high standards. Also a great price from Harrison Cameras.
