Product Description

Never let bad weather catch you off guard. The Emergency Rain Covers are a simple, compact solution to protect your gear from a downpour, dusty or even snowstorm conditions. These seam-sealed rain covers can be quickly and easily deployed when outdoor conditions change. The range of covers are designed to fit both DSLR and Mirrorless cameras and are available in three sizes (small, medium, large) to accommodate a range of lenses. I am an amateur mixed sports and family events photographer and am out most weekends. Rain has always been a concern however I have made do with the cheap plastic options which have served me well to date but there was always the concern over the effectiveness. After investing in a Sigma Sports 120-300mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM I decided to get something better. There are plenty of options and some are very expensive. When I found the Think Tank Emergency Rain Cover – LARGE I decided to take the plunge as the price was great, although finding somewhere that had it in stock and would ship to Ireland was a challenge. Thank you Harrison Cameras (HC). The Rain cover is large. And in fact the combination of the Nikon D500 and the Sigma Sports would probably be the starting size for this cover. It just about does up properly on the lens hood. The first outing and it was drizzling so I put the cover on. Very easy to use a zip allows almost full access down the length making the fitting of the cover Easy. With practice it will be easier. The little clips are a great idea. With a monopod it fits really well around it allowing full access to the camera zoom ring while still keeping the camera and lens protected. The heavens opened and the wind picked up and this put the cover to the test. Absolutely faultless I had total confidence in the product and it reacted to the rain in the same way my Gore Tex jacket and trousers keeping everything totally dry. I am now very much considering the purchase of the small and maybe even the medium for my 24-70 on a D750 or the 70-200 on my Nikon Z6. Bottom line, this is a great cover and well worth the investment. Thanks again HC.
