This backpack was purchased to replace an earlier Thinktank backpack purchased in 2007. The design is similar to another Thinktank model I own and use for travelling abroad with.
The specification for this model states that it will hold a lens up to 600mm with body attached. I was disappointed to find that I cannot get my Canon 500mm plus Body in the bag with the lens attached. Apart from that I am happy with the product. It will fulfill most of my needs as the 500mm lens is only used occasionally.

This is a big backpack and when it full it gets heavy.the zips appear to be strong which is really good because quite some force is required to zip up most of the time.It has pockets inside the main compartment 3.But I would have liked some zip up pockets on the outside there is one under the handle but one on the side would have been nice. The insets inside that are used to keep the camera knocking together are not as firm as I would like. They are going out of shape after 4wks.
I bought this because I do sports photography and needed to Carry 300mm f2.8 with camera attached (fits easy) a 70-200mm with camera attached(fits easy) and a camera with a wide angle(fits easy). My monopod just fits in corner to corner.I have a small tripod velcroed to the side.It would only be possible for me to carry short distances 1/2 mile.It is very comfy when carrying it's just my age and physical condition that stops me carrying it further.I also bought it because it will fit onto an ordinary shopping trolly perfect with to bungie straps. The shopping trolly has far better wheels than other photography cases so goes over all terrain. It is perfect for what I want but I would have to be fit to carry such a big pack pack.It take a 13 inch laptop/reader/mifi in the front compartment which is well padded. There are some small pockets inside the front compartment but things fall out if your not careful when it is open it would have been better with a zip on it.
