Sony FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G Lens

The Sony FE 8-14mm F3.5 Fisheye G Lens combines an expansive 180° field of view with an 8-14mm zoom range, bringing two distinct fisheye perspectives into a single lens. At 8mm, it creates a full-frame circular image, while the 14mm produces a diagonal fisheye view that fills the frame. 

The wide field of view makes it particularly suited to architecture, interiors, and landscapes, while the pronounced fisheye effect can be used to create more unconventional compositions in photography, filmmaking and VR. 

Detailed images across the frame

The lens uses four ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) elements and three aspherical elements to control chromatic aberration and other optical distortions, helping maintain high resolution across the image area. Its constant f/3.5 maximum aperture provides consistent exposure as you zoom.

With a minimum focusing distance of only 0.15m and maximum magnification of 0.22x, you can also focus closely on subjects while retaining the characteristic ultra-wide perspective.

Fast and precise focusing

Two linear motors deliver fast, accurate autofocus and subject tracking, with Linear Response MF giving you precise control when focusing manually. Internal focusing keeps the lens compact and helps reduce focus breathing, so changes in focus have less impact on framing during video recording.

Straightforward control

Separate focus, zoom and aperture rings make it easy to adjust the lens directly. Focus Hold helps keep your chosen focus position in place, and the three-position zoom lock lets you secure frequently used settings. The aperture click switch can be set for stepped adjustments or smooth, silent operation when shooting video.

Compact for everyday use

Weighing only 314g, the Sony FE 8-14mm lens is lightweight enough for handheld shooting and practical for use with a gimbal or rig. Its dust- and moisture-resistant construction offers added protection when shooting outdoors, and the fluorine-coated front element helps repel water, oil and other contaminants.
