The Sony ECM-W5R Wireless Microphone System receiver is designed to make audio recording with compatible Sony equipment more convenient. It allows audio to be captured from compatible Sony headphones and earbuds without the need for a separate wearable transmitter, making it a useful option for video creators looking for a compact recording solution.

Wireless Audio Recording

Connect the ECM-W5R to a compatible Sony camera using the Multi Interface Shoe to transfer audio directly to the camera. Future support for binaural recording with compatible Sony earbuds is also planned, allowing recordings to capture a greater sense of space and direction.

Connections and Compatibility
