Sony ECM-W5 Wireless Microphone System
The Sony ECM-W5 Wireless Microphone System delivers clear, high-quality audio for video production, interviews, vlogging and content creation. Featuring two compact wireless microphones and a receiver, it allows you to capture voices from multiple speakers with reliable wireless transmission and straightforward operation.
Designed to work with compatible Sony cameras, the system supports digital audio recording at up to 96 kHz/24-bit or 48 kHz/32-bit float. Its 32-bit float recording capability helps preserve audio detail across changing sound levels, reducing the need for constant gain adjustments during recording.
Reliable Wireless Audio Recording
With wireless transmission reaching up to 500 metres in line-of-sight conditions, the Sony ECM-W5 is well suited to interviews, events and on-location filming. The system supports up to four audio channels when used with compatible equipment and additional microphones, allowing you to record multiple speakers on separate tracks for easier editing.
Each microphone features 64 GB of built-in storage for independent audio recording, providing a useful backup alongside compatible in-camera recording. Recorded files can be transferred to a computer via USB Type-C, helping to streamline your post-production workflow.
Simple Setup and Control
The included charging case makes getting started straightforward, automatically powering the receiver into standby when opened. The receiver features a high-definition AMOLED display for convenient access to settings, including input gain, noise reduction and low-cut filtering.
Microphones can be attached using the supplied clips or magnets, and each unit includes a 3.5 mm input for connecting a compatible external lavalier microphone. Bluetooth LE Audio-compatible headphones can also be used for wireless audio monitoring.
Designed for Camera and Mobile Use
The Sony ECM-W5 connects directly to compatible Sony cameras via the Multi Interface Shoe, providing cable-free operation. With the supplied USB Type-C adapter, the system can also connect to compatible smartphones, computers and other devices, making it suitable for podcasts, voice recordings and a range of video projects.
The microphones and receiver each offer up to seven hours of continuous use on a full charge when used independently. The included charging case provides additional charging convenience, supporting up to 11 hours of use for the microphone system under specified operating conditions.
