SIGMA introduces the SIGMA 50mm F1.4 Art L-Mount Lens DG DN, the latest lens to join the DG DN Art Primes. Designed specifically for mirrorless cameras, the SIGMA 50mm F1.4 Art Lens offers a compact and lightweight design that boasts a 50mm focal length and an ultra-wide aperture of F1.4 for capturing stunning artistic perspectives. The SIGMA 50mm F1.4 Art Lens has an expertly constructed optical design that renders beautifully smooth bokeh. Along with an all-new fast AF and intuitive functions including an aperture ring and AFL button for better control during shooting. The SIGMA 50mm F1.4 Art L-Mount Lens meets every high standard that is expected from a SIGMA Art line lens,
The SIGMA 50mm Art Lens adopts the latest optical design technology and is constructed of 14 elements in 11 groups, including 1 SLD (Special Low Dispersion) lens element and 3 aspherical elements. The optical elements are strategically arranged to ensure optimum use of their technology by significantly reducing optical aberrations such as astigmatism, field curvature, and sagittal coma flare.
An ultra-wide aperture of F1.4 gives photographers the high performance and freedom to experiment creatively in low light conditions, from concerts to weddings. The SIGMA 50mm F1.4 Lens has a shallow depth of field and 11 blade-rounded aperture, allowing for the creation of smooth background blur and beautifully rounded bokeh.
Advanced Ultra-Fast AF Motor
The newly integrated HLA (High-response Linear Actuator) autofocus motor technology drives a high-speed, accurate, and whisper-quiet auto focus with fast-tracking performance– beneficial for capturing fluent videos and spontaneous shots. Utilising a single double-sided aspherical element as the focusing lens, keeping the autofocus fast and the lens light and compact.
The SIGMA 50mm F2.4 Art Lens has been crafted and constructed with cutting edge technology internally and externally. The innovative design delivers a compact, lightweight, and robust lens that can consistently deliver an incredible optical performance. Weighing only 670g, this Art Lens feels well-balanced on a full-frame camera and offers extra mobility during shooting.
The lens itself is constructed using carefully selected materials, including TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) for the outer barrel which ensures performance remains stable when the lens is used in different temperatures and environments.
As well as adopting a dust-and splash-resistant structure, rubber sealing around the mount to protect the internal system from contaminants, and a water-and oil-repellent coating on the front lens element for extra protection when shooting in challenging conditions.
To ensure better control over the SIGMA 50mm F1.4 Art L- Mount Lens, SIGMA have incorporated several intuitive, useful functions. Alongside the Manual Aperture Ring, SIGMA’s Aperture Ring Click Switch allows users to switch between stepped, third-stop aperture increments and a smooth, click-free action -allowing for seamless exposure adjustment during video recording. The aperture ring can be locked with the lock switch.
An AFL (Auto-Focus Lock) Button allows users to customise and assign additional functions to widen the range of operations available when in use.
Other features on the lens barrel includes, a Focus Mode Switch to allow users to switch instantly between auto and manual focus, a rubberised focus ring with a smooth, effortless movement, and a robust, petal-type lens hood with lock button.
The petal-type lens hood has a rubberised armour to ensure a firm grip, useful for a simple attachment and removal.
Connect to SIGMA’s USB Dock for customisation and adjustment, such as switching between linear and non-linear focus ring movement (L-mount only).
