The Sigma 300-600mm F4 DG OS Sports for Sony E is a professional super-telephoto zoom with a constant F4 aperture all the way to 600mm. Launched in 2025, it gives an a7 IV, a7C II or a7R V the reach and brightness that sport, wildlife and press photographers usually get from a heavy fixed 600mm prime.

Staying at F4 through the range means faster shutter speeds and cleaner images in poor light than a typical F6.3 zoom.
Optical design
There are 28 elements in 21 groups, including six FLD and one SLD element, and a 13-blade aperture. Filters drop in at the rear in a 40.5mm holder.
Stabilisation and autofocus
OS2 stabilisation gives up to 5.5 stops at 600mm (CIPA), with a panning mode. HLA linear motor autofocus, a focus limiter and AFL buttons in four places help with fast action.
Built for the field
It is an inner zoom, so the balance never changes. The rotating tripod foot is Arca-Swiss compatible, the body is dust- and splash-resistant, and heat-insulating paint keeps it cooler in the sun. Sigma's teleconverters are L-Mount only, so they do not fit the Sony E version.
Who it's for
This is for professionals and serious enthusiasts who shoot sport and wildlife in all light. The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS is much lighter and more affordable, and the Sigma 500mm F5.6 DG DN OS is a compact fixed alternative.
