The RØDE VideoMicro is a compact on-camera microphone designed to improve audio quality when recording video. Featuring a high-quality condenser capsule and a cardioid polar pattern, it captures clear, natural-sounding audio for vlogging, filmmaking and everyday video recording.

Compact and Lightweight Design

Weighing only 42g, the VideoMicro is easy to carry and well suited to compact cameras, DSLRs and action cameras. It can also be used with compatible smartphones and mobile devices using an additional SC7 cable.

Clear Audio for Video Recording

The cardioid polar pattern focuses on sound from in front of the microphone, helping to capture clear dialogue and reduce unwanted background noise. Its integrated Rycote® Lyre® shock mount helps minimise handling noise, making it a practical choice for handheld recording and filming on the move.

Ready for Indoor and Outdoor Use

Supplied with a deluxe furry windshield, the VideoMicro helps reduce wind noise when recording outdoors. Its simple plug-in design requires no battery, making it easy to set up and use whenever you want to improve your camera's audio.
