Great value on these 'budget' binoculars. Not an expert, but my freinds who have a lot of pairs to compare too, were impressed, especially for the price.
Quick service and cheaper than anywhere else I could find at the time.
The glasses are well built, well designed and come with a decent case and strap.
Optical performance is great and they are compact.
Two Points:
1) ADVICE - Measure the distance between your pupils and make sure the quoted Interpupillary Distance (IPD) is sufficient, these glasses only just fit me.
2) MINOR COMPLAINT - The lugs built into the plastic eye-piece coves, to attach them to the strap, are not vey strong and split easily, don't bother using them, you may loose your covers.
I very much recommend these excellent binoculars.
I had read reviews saying that the Opticron binoculars were very good and decided to take the plunge. I’ve been impressed with the optical quality as well as the build. My wife has a pair of Nikon Prostaff P7 8x42 so I’ve been able to do comparisons with something twice the price and to my non-expert eyes, the Opticrons are slightly better!
Having carried out an investigation as to what specification of binoculars was best suited to our requirements we then considered the options/manufacturers available, together with the suppliers. The outcome of which was the purchase from Harrison's. The full process from purchase to delivery was faultless. We are very happy with our purchase.
