Capture wide open skies and stunning city scenes with the Nikon Z 14-30mm F4 S Nikkor Z Lens. Offering a 14-30mm zoom range and constant F4 aperture for new perspectives and brilliant low-light performance. Featuring near-silent autofocus and intuitive controls in a compact, light body for the ideal walkabout lens. Enjoy a superb image performance that brings optimum image quality with superior reproduction of light points and background blur.
Near-silent Autofocus
The internal focusing system features a silent stepping motor to drive a fast but near-silent autofocus – beneficial for capturing discreet shots of wildlife and recording video with enhanced audio. The silent control ring allows aperture adjustment with no clicking sounds. The floating lens elements ensure precise focus at close distances and the electromagnetic diaphragm delivers precise exposures during high-speed bursts.
Focus breathing and focus-shift is reduced while zooming and the multi-focusing system ensures smooth, precise focus pulling.
Intuitive Control
Nikon have incorporated a knurled control ring for more intuitive use during operation. When shooting in AF mode, the user can assign specific exposure-compensation settings to the control ring. The control ring can be used as a focus ring when in manual focusing. Enjoy sharper control over your focus, focus shifts dependant on how quick the ring is turned.
Blur-free Images
The Nikon Z 14-30mm lens takes advantage of the in-camera Vibration Reduction so the user can shoot at shutter speeds up to five stops slower. As daylight slips away continue taking sharp images or film breath taking scenes without camera shake.
Superb Lens Configuration
The optical design consists of 14 elements in 12 groups which includes four ED (extra-low dispersion) elements and four aspherical elements. The elements are strategically arranged for optimum image quality, both elements work to suppress optical aberrations and ensure enhanced colour and rich contrast.
Preventing Ghosting and Flare
Featuring Nikon’s Nano Crystal Coat to minimise ghosting and flare when working with bright light sources such as backlit conditions - ensuring greater clarity across the frame. The ED elements suppress sagittal coma flare to contribute towards vivid reproduction of point light sources, including streetlights.
Shooting Capabilities
With a minimum focus distance of 0.28m throughout the entire zoom range, the user can create a variety of dynamic perspectives – from subjects in tight spaces to narrow streets. The constant F/4 aperture allows the user to operate with exceptional performance in low light conditions, and paired with the seven-bladed rounded diaphragm there is opportunity to create beautiful background blur (bokeh).
Small, Durable, and Lightweight
Travel far and wide to capture the perfect picture with the Nikon Z 14-30mm lens. The lightweight and compact design, weighing just 485g, takes up minimal space when transporting, making it highly portable. Every moveable part of the lens barrel is sealed to protect against dust and water droplets. The front lens element features a fluorine coating that repels water, dust, and dirt and makes it easier to wipe if any contaminants do become attached to the lens.

I am very pleased with this lens. It's relatively compacted and easy to use with filters. The zoom range is very useful. Image quality is very good. Mounted to my Z6 it makes a compact setup for hiking.
I expected this lens to be sharp corner to corner for the price of around £1,000. On closer inspection of several photos taken with this lens on a Z7II, it looks to me in certain conditions the corners of the image are certainly no where near as sharp as the centre. Images are generally good but I am a little disappointed overall. I used a 17-35mm f/2.8 F mount lens on the same camera and although this is a much older lens the corners appear sharper to me.
