Product Description

Nikon 35mm 1.8 G AF-S ED Nikkor Lens

The Nikon 35mm 1.8 G AF-S ED Nikkor Lens brings a natural perspective to your photography. Offering a medium wide-angle view for street, environmental and landscape photography that offers depth-of-field thanks to the f/1.8 aperture. Achieve smooth bokeh effects and background separation to make your foreground subjects truly stand out.

This lens holds outstanding control even in low-light situations so you can carry on shooting and filming as the sun goes down.

Optical Performance

Nikon has incorporated aspherical lens elements on the non-spherical surfaces to help prevent lens aberration such as sagittal flare. The Nikon 35mm has ED (Extra-low dispersion) Glass which has been specifically designed by Nikon to ensure it continues to deliver ultimate sharpness and contrast even at wide apertures.

As well as Nikon’s Super Integrated Coating (SIC) element, the lens works to reduce flare and increase light transmission efficiency for superior colour consistency.

Silent Wave Motor and Rear Focusing System

As part of Nikon’s collection of advanced f/1.8 FX-format prime lenses, the Nikon 35mm includes the latest advancements. The Silent Wave Motor (SWM) converts “travelling waves” into rotational energy to help focus the optics. In turn, this delivers rapid autofocusing that is precise and near-silent, even when filming. Alongside the SWM is the Rear Focusing System that only enables the rear lens group to move when focusing. In turn, this prevents any physical changes to the length of the lens when it is focusing.
