Give your stills and movies a dramatic wide-angle perspective with the Nikon 28mm 1.8 E AF-S Nikkor Lens. From capturing cityscapes at dusk to group shots in the sunshine, this lens is versatile in photography.
With a minimum focus distance of 0.28m, the Nikon 28mm offers extra versatility when capturing different perspectives. Paired with a sharp aperture, you can produce a stunning bokeh effect in artistic images.
With a fast f/1.8 aperture, the Nikon 28mm lens gives you the freedom to shoot in any kind of lighting – night or day – the viewfinder will be brighter to give you opportunity for fine-tuning and manual focus. Bring sharpness to your foreground subjects by softening the background and creating incredible depth-of-field. Thanks to the 7-blade diaphragm, this lens can deliver a more natural appearance to those out-of-focus areas.
As a wide-angle lens, Nikon have incorporated technological advancements to ensure there are minimal optical defects as a result of backlit scenes. Including Nikon’s exclusive Nano Crystal (N) Coating to battle ghosting and flare and Super Integrated (SIC) Coating to amplify the contrast and colour. As well as aspherical lens elements that help to eliminate types of lens aberration by utilising non-spherical surfaces on the glass. Together the elements deliver prime optical performance for sharp, bright images.
Focus rapidly and efficiently thanks to the Silent Wave Motor (SWM) that speeds up the autofocus function to ensure it is extremely precise and quiet. Switch easily into manual override whilst looking through the viewfinder by turning the focusing ring on the lens. The Rear Focusing System only allows the rear lens group to move whilst focusing, this is to prevent the changes in the physical length of the lens to encourage faster focusing. Designated RD on the lens barrel.
Like the majority of Nikon lens’s, the Nikon 28mm has been built to withstand hours of use in changing weather conditions. The robust design is dust and drip resistant so the lens continues to perform to a high standard.
