Kowa TSN-99A Prominar Angled Spotting Scope with 30-70x Zoom Eyepiece

The Kowa TSN-99A Prominar kit pairs Kowa's 99mm angled flagship scope with the TE-11WZ II zoom eyepiece, which gives 30-70x on this body. It is ready to use out of the box and gives the brightest, most detailed view in the Kowa range.

99mm pure fluorite crystal

The objective lens is made from pure fluorite crystal, which almost eliminates colour fringing. The large 99mm aperture gathers more light than any other Kowa scope, so the image stays bright at high magnification and in poor light.

Built for serious use

The magnesium alloy body is waterproof and nitrogen filled, with Kowa's KR coating on the objective. A dual focus system gives quick and fine adjustment, and the scope accepts Kowa's digiscoping adapters for photos and video with a phone or camera.

Why choose the angled version?

An angled scope lets you look down into the eyepiece, which is more comfortable for long watches, easier to share with people of different heights, and better for birds overhead.

What the TE-11WZ II eyepiece gives you

On the TSN-99A the TE-11WZ II wide zoom gives 30-70x. The wide field at the low end makes it easy to find a bird, and you can zoom in for detail without changing eyepiece.

The TSN-99A in numbers

The TSN-99A has a 99mm objective, a close focus of 6m and a 105mm filter thread. The body weighs 1810g and is 378mm long.

Which Kowa scope should you choose?

If this isn't quite right, the TSN-99A body is the same scope without an eyepiece; the TSN-99S kit is the straight version; the TSN-88 kit gives a lighter 88mm scope.
