Thornfield HouseKodak M35 Reusable 35mm Film Camera, Pink
Our Price: £24.99
The Kodak M35 in pink is a reusable 35mm film camera in a pale pastel pink, and a popular choice as a gift for someone new to film. Load a roll, wind on and press the shutter. When the roll is finished you rewind it, send it for developing and load another, so there is no camera to throw away every 27 shots.
The M35 has a 31mm f/10 fixed-focus lens and one shutter speed of 1/120s. Everything from about 1m to infinity is in focus, so there is nothing to adjust. The viewfinder shows about 70% of what lands on the negative, so leave a little space around your subject.
A switch on the front turns the flash on. It runs from one AAA battery and can take up to about 15 seconds to recharge between shots. Use it indoors, in shade and after dark. In daylight you can leave it off.
Any 35mm (135) film fits, in 24 or 36 exposures. Because the aperture and shutter are fixed, ISO 400 film gives the most room for error, especially under grey British skies. Kodak UltraMax 400 is a good all-rounder, and Kodak Gold 200 suits bright summer days. Film is not included.
The M35 sits between two other simple film cameras we sell. The Kodak Ektar H35 shoots half frames, so you get twice as many photos from a roll. The Yashica MF-1 is a very similar full frame camera that comes with a roll of film and a battery in the box.

Yes. Unlike a disposable camera, you rewind the film at the end of the roll, take it out for developing and load a new one. The camera lasts for as many rolls as you like.
Any standard 35mm (135) film, colour or black and white, in 24 or 36 exposures. ISO 200 or 400 works best because the shutter speed and aperture are fixed.
No. Film and the AAA battery are sold separately. The camera comes with a wrist strap.
24 or 36, depending on the roll you buy. The Kodak Ektar H35 half frame camera gets about twice as many from the same roll.
Only for the flash. One AAA battery powers it, and the camera still takes photos without one.
Yes, with the flash on. It works best for people and subjects a few metres away rather than across a large room.
Open the back, drop the film cassette into the left-hand chamber, pull the film leader across to the take-up spool so the teeth catch the holes, close the back and wind on until the counter reaches the first frame. Kodak includes instructions in the box.
No. The pink M35 has the same lens, shutter and flash as every other colour. Only the body colour changes.
The M35 shoots full 35mm frames, which give more detail and larger prints. The H35 shoots half frames, so you get about 72 photos from a 36 exposure roll, with smaller negatives.
