The Kaiser RS 1 "Microdrive" Camera Stand is a precision-engineered camera stand designed for professional reproduction photography. Its non-reflecting matt grey base board with printed fine grid ensures accurate alignment, while height-adjustable feet and a spirit level in the column base allow precise levelling on any surface.

The stand features an extra-wide, extremely vibration-resistant column of dull black anodised aluminium tubing with cm and inch scales for accurate height positioning. Height adjustment is hand-crank operated via a friction drive on plastic bearings, with weight compensation provided by a roll-off spring mechanism. The column can also be mounted rotated 180° for flexible camera orientation.

The RS 1 "Microdrive" variant (K5507) adds a rack-and-pinion hand-crank height adjustment, counterbalanced by a built-in scroll spring. An additional fine drive with 1:6 step-down transmission allows super-fine height adjustment, while a locking screw prevents inadvertent changes to the set height.

A dust hood is included to protect the baseboard and column when not in use.
