Product Description

Hawke's Nature Trek 8x42 Monocular is a great way of viewing wildlife, without carrying large binoculars, or compromising on magnification. The Nature Trek Monocular has a massive 42mm objective lens, for maximum light input, which ensures that the large magnification of the Hawke Nature Trek 8x42 Monocular isn't compromised.

The fully multi-coated optics are designed to give sharp images and additional protection to the external glass. The BAK-4 roof prism focuses the light onto the eye and the lightweight rubber coated body, makes it really comfortable to hold and offers additional handling security. The focusing wheel is a quick two turn focus for fast, pin sharp images and the monocular will close focus to 2 metres, which is terrific for anyone wanting to look at insects or flora. The stay on lens covers mean that the caps are not lost when removed and the twist up eyepiece, is perfect for use with or without glasses.

Hawke have thought of everything as there is a tripod bush on the bottom of the unit, with which to attach it to a tripod head, for anyone wanting to view from a hide or a hidden area, for long periods of time. The Hawke Nature Trek 8x42 Monocular is a versatile piece of kit to have as it is handy to travel with for quick observations and to accompany you on longer observation periods.

I bought these for my husband as he expressed interest a little while ago for something to easily carry in a pocket when on walks. We have a pair of excellent binoculars, but they are too big to carry around. He has found these to be excellent with a clear view and so easy to use. I had done lots of research and as he wears glasses, thought the larger eye relief would be good so that he didn't have to remove them. He finds them easy to handle and focus and all in all, they have been a great success.

Super piece of kit. Simple to use. Excellent magnification. Crisp image and easy to focus in an instant. My wife wears glasses but I don't, so the simple twisting eye piece means we can both share the monocular and see a full and focused image with ease.

HAWKE NATURETREK 8X42 MONOCULAR

I’ve previously only bought cheap binoculars for occasional use - typically £30-40 from the usual suspects, but quality was never the best. The concept of a monocular appealed to me given the compact size and better value than a full size high quality pair. After a bit of online research I settled on the Hawke 8x42. I wanted this mainly for going on long walks with the kids, to take camping and for casual star gazing.
I wasn’t disappointed. The build quality is great. Just the right amount of stiffness on the focus wheel. Easy to hold and control. Great crystal clear optics edge to edge - way better than budget binoculars.

bought this monocular on the strength of Hawke name and was not disappointed. Excellent product, the 42mm objective lens has plenty of light gathering, no flare, sharp focus edge to edge.
