Exceptional Super-Telephoto Performance

The 400mm focal length provides a 609mm equivalent field of view on a 35mm format camera, bringing distant subjects into close detail, while the bright F4.5 aperture helps maintain fast shutter speeds for moving subjects.

The optical construction comprises 21 elements in 14 groups, including four ED and two Super ED elements. These specialised elements help minimise chromatic aberration and maintain high resolution, allowing fine details to be captured across the frame.

From birds in flight and wildlife to motorsport and aircraft, the XF 400mm F4.5 is built for distant and fast-moving subjects. Its 9-blade rounded diaphragm helps create smooth, natural-looking out-of-focus areas, allowing your subject to stand out against its surroundings.

For even greater reach, the lens is compatible with Fujifilm's XF 1.4x and XF 2.0x teleconverters. The XF 1.4x extends the focal length to 560mm, equivalent to 853mm in 35mm format, while the XF 2.0x takes it to 800mm, equivalent to 1219mm.

Up to 5.5 Stops of Image Stabilisation

The focus preset function lets you quickly return to a saved focus position, while the Focus Control Button provides convenient access to your selected focus function. A focus limiter can also restrict the focusing range when working with subjects more than 5m away, helping to speed up focus acquisition.
