Product Description

The Danubia Sirius 150 Telescope is a classic Newtonian telescope which is large and really powerful, offering unrivalled images of the night sky and is beautifully compact so easy to use and inconspicuous in a domestic setting. The reflector telescope was designed to limit colour distortion (chromatic aberration) which has always been an issue when magnifying images and uses two mirrors one primary and one diagonal secondary mirror.

This Danubia telescope is ideal for star gazing and planet watching as it has a high focal ratio of 1:5 and is fitted with the EQ-3 equatorial mount and a sturdy aluminium tripod. It will easily see the craters on the moon, Saturn's rings and the fine detail in nebulae and star clusters. Planets which are further afield will also be visible, such as Jupiter and Saturn and details on Mars will be seen providing the atmospheric and lighting conditions are favourable. The images on astro telescopes are usually upside down, but if it is preferable to have the image the correct way up, an erecting prism can be bought separately which automatically turns the image the right way up. When using a special sun foil to protect the eyes, the telescope can be trained onto the sun to look at sunspots.

"This Danubia telescope is ideal for star gazing and planet watching as it has a high focal ratio of 1:5"

The Danubia Sirius Telescope comes complete with a 6x30 finder eyescope, two Plossl eyepieces, as well as one K6.3mm eyepiece, an achromatic Barlow 2x lens, aluminium tripod and moon filter. The telescope has a magnification of 30-316x which can be expanded further by optional eyepieces (sold separately). The three eyepieces are the K6.3mm which gives 158x magnification, the Possel PL10mm, which gives 100x magnification and then the Possel PL25mm, which magnifies by 30x. The Sirius Telescope will take a motorised drive and a photo adapter (sold separatley) for added viewing accuracy, and for astro-photography.

2 year warranty included.
