With such a flexible zoom range, the photographer can capture different incredible details of the same subject. The Canon RF 100-500mm lens is compatible with 1.4x and 2x extenders.

Impressive Optical Construction 

The optical design of the Canon RF 100-500mm lens consists of 20 elements in 14 groups, including one Super UD (ultra-low dispersion) lens and six UD lenses. The elements are strategically arranged for optimum use of their technology, to suppress optical aberrations and ensure images achieve excellent contrast and sharpness across the zoom range.  

Combatting Ghosting and Flare

I've had the RF 100-500 on hire several times and always been very impressed. It is an ideal compromise for me betweeen the weight of a 300f2.8 plus 500f4 (when Canon eventually produces it), aging arms which are no longer as steady as they once were and price.
The Canon cashback of Summer 2023 finally induced me to buy.
The service from Harrison Camaeras was faultless. Very impressed as a first time buyer from them

Well built, weather sealed and not too heavy for the type of lens. The extra 100mm of focal length is appreciated and the stabilisation is great. Works well on my Canon eosR5 with the eye autofocus feature. I used it to photograph the red grouse on the moors as the first trial and I am very pleased with the results.

Bought this with R6 & its stunning so far ! it feels 1/2 the weight of my old ef100-400 & very well balanced with R6 .
Currently the only lens i have so been using for all sorts & great results !
Not cheap along with R6 but you only live once !
