Benro TMA48CXL Carbon Fibre Tripod Mach3 Series 4

I had been using a Benro Travel Angel tripod which was great as a beginner however, I decided that I needed something more sturdier so after spending hours reviewing tripods online etc and speaking to a good friend who has the same tripod, I opted for this, more so as I use the Benro Geared Head too. All in all this is an amazing tripod, solid, height beyond my needs, although it may come in useful in certain situations. Fast unlocking and locking of the legs. I removed the centre colum and replaced it with the shirt colum, to reduce weight, to make ground level shots easier and it makes carrying the tripod in hand much easier without the longer centre colum.

Exactly what I was after - a quality robust tripod that would support on long 600mm lens etc. Everything clicks into place perfectly. Makes my last tripod feel like a child's toy

Bought several tripods that are flimsy and not tall enough. Decided it was time to buy a decent, sturdy, tall one. This seemed to foot the bill !
When it arrived I was gobsmacked, it is everything I could wish for in a tripod, and more. Over 6 foot without the centre column, rock solid sturdy, little bit heavier than my others, but I can live with that. In reality you should only need to buy one tripod, and this is it for me ! Now got 5 rubbish tripods to give away...

Very sturdy. Great height without having to extend centre column. Excellent quality construction.
On the bulky, heavy side for hiking with.
