This GD3WH Geared Head from Benro is designed to offer photographers fast and precise camera positioning. Precision movement in all three axes using the large control knobs allows minute adjustments to be made, guaranteeing absolute accurate positioning for a perfectly framed shot.
This 3-Way Precision Geared Tripod Head features an overall weight of just 870g with a 6kg max load capacity and an arca-style quick release plate which allows you to swap between heads without the need to change plates. Three spirit levels makes sure you are set up perfectly level for the best shot.
Bought the Benro as a replacement for the Manfrotto Junior geared head.
The Benro being made of magnesium is about a third of the weight of the Manfrotto so hiking to a landscape location will a lot easier.
The Arca Swiss plate feels much more secure the a QR plate and give me more confidence that my camera and lenses are safe.
The three axis controls have just the right amount of tension, not loose and not tight and give millimetre perfect control when framing a composition.
One of the best accessory I bought for my photography.
A pleasure to use, very good price, excellent service.
Purchased as an additional head for macro and studio photos. I had borrowed one of these so knew what to expect. It is ideal for finer framing and composition compared to a ball head I'd been using before. It switches to portrait format easily. The arca-style plate takes a little getting used to but feels safer than the previously quick release plate I used. I don't feel like I'm fighting my tripod head now to get the framing I want.
