Benro B1 Double Action Tripod Ballhead, Max 14kg

I bought this to replace the ball head on my tripod, I found it smooth toadjust and rigid when locked. I have bought a second to use on my hide clamp.

Further to my review of the, BENRO GOPLUS TRAVEL SERIES 2 ALUMINIUM TWIST TRIPOD, I now turn my attention to the additional head (also purchased from Harrison Cameras). This is a neat, compact & very versatile companion. It comes with an integral spirit level, full twist, panhead & ball & socket element, for nearly every conceivable angle, desired - screws securely onto the 3/8" tripod platform, & also features a quick release plate (that sits permanently on my main camera body of choice). Incredibly sturdy, & for me, the size of the orientation knobs, is both ergonomic & efficient - I'm not keen on these extended arms that you see on so many pan & tilt heads; this is an incredibly compact unit - & for the price, you cannot grumble. Even tho' the head is just 9cm tall, leaving it on the aforementioned tripod, I considered it an initial problem (it wouldn't fit into the tripod bag...all I did, was invert the central column, & I was good to go. Nothing more to add, save for the satin black finish - matching the tripod: It's beautiful !! Highly recommended.
