An inkjet printer works by spraying ink onto paper through tiny nozzles that regulate the amount of ink used. The standard inkjet printer is defined by the number of dots per inch it can produce, which generally start from 300, but can go up to 600dpi and more. They are a relatively cheap and easy way to print at home depending on if you are going to print most weeks, as the inks can dry out when not used regularly. Inkjet prints require a little longer drying time than non-inkjet printers and are best used with non-porous paper as the inks can bleed on open weave photographic paper. Using an inkjet printer gives complete control and the results are amazing, especially when using multiple inks.
