Leica 135mm f3.4 lens now with 6-bit coding

With the introduction of the new Leica M (type 240) the digital Leica M system is now suitable for telephoto focal lengths during Live View operation. As a result, the APO-Telyt-M 1:3,4/135mm (11889) will now be manufactured with the 6-BitCoding.

Starting 2nd January 2013 Leica Customer Care will offer the conversion of the uncoded APO-Telyt-M 1:3,4/135mm (11889) to our customers. So far the lens has only been available without a 6-bit Coding due to the limited usability of telephoto focal lengths in combination with the Leica rangefinder.

The following conditions apply:

  • Uncoded lenses, that were purchased after 01.09.2012 will be converted free of charge.
  • Lenses that were purchased after 01.09.2006 will be converted for a flat rate of £170 plus VAT.
  • For lenses that were purchased before 01.09.2006 the current package price for the 6-bit coding including calibration of £299 plus VAT will be charged
