This is just the best Baby box we have ever seen. Manufactured to a really high standard, it will hold lots of baby's first things; locks of hair, shoes, hospital bands and is large enough to take all the first year firsts! The inside has been really well thought through, having two small drawers for the tinier items and a larger draw for other things that need to be kept seperate from the main compartment. The main compartment measures approximately 9.5 inches wide 10.5 inches tall and 3 inches deep and is lined with bright white, high quality paper. The three draws contrast with each other in grey and white with alternate grey and white spots, which is replicated in the envelope on the inside of the front cover. This is great for small documents, or cards that have been sent when the baby was born and has a pretty little white ribbon, with which to close it. The tabs on the draws are also made from the same white ribbon and make opening the draws really easy. The internal spots are replicated on the outside of the box, which is a lovely grey, with the cutest hippopotomus across the bottom talking to a snail. They are sketched onto the cover and shaded like a charcoal picture, so they contrast really well with the plain cover which is made from strong paper, with a linen effect. The spine has the hippopotomus at the bottom and is rounded so that it looks smart on a shelf. The 3.5 inch square aperture on the front of the box takes a 2.75 inch square photograph of baby, or a printed personalised card and the same white ribbon, is attached to the side of the box, so the whole thing can be kept securely closed. We LOVE IT!!
