Viking Peregrine ED Binoculars have extra low dispersion glass which really helps with stray light and fringing. More expensive than the standard glass used in optics, the light gathering power of these binoculars is terrific. Multicoated optics protect the lenses from dust and dirt, which means that they stay clear no matter what the weather throws at you.
The Peregrine Binoculars are finished in a smooth rubber armouring, so they are really comfortable to hold, even when wearing gloves and the longer barrels give a secure grip for customers with larger hands. Fantastic for using in low light, the Peregrine ED glasses will work really well at dusk and dawn, when the light is poor and on winter days when the weather is really bad. Excellent colour rendition and no fringing, the 4 BAK prisms are some of the best you can buy.
The Nitrogen filled optics on the Peregrine 8x32 binoculars, ensure that there is no fogging which is a birdwatching nightmare and a common problem with a lot of inferior optics. Viking confidently give these binoculars a 10 year warranty, so you can rest assured that the binoculars will give pleasure for years to come.
Supplied with a rainguard for the eye pieces which is a single rubber cover, which can be looped to the strap, a wide carry strap and carry case.

Nice big view. Good colour, contrast, brightness and sharpness over distance for birding. Really good control of glare. Some purple fringing at times.
Not great eye relief but I don't wear glasses and still I find the view big & best with the eyecups fully down or at the first click stop.
Eyecup click stops are plastic and seem weak & flimsy but they do stay in place. Not metal as on the 10x42 Peregrine which I also own.
I removed the objective lens covers completely and the bands have left very untidy looking marks on the rubber armour which looks bad on a new binocular. The rubber armour is nice with a silky feel but the left side is a bit lose.
Finally & worst thing is the focus is a bit sloppy and lumpy at times changing direction so not great on this example. Better on my 10x42.
Most important to me is good optics and in this regard I like this binocular a lot & find it better for general use than the 10x42 which has less contrast and more fringing.
Great optics thankfully but overall things could be better in a few areas. Probably depends on the example you receive & this one just passes, mostly because of the great optics.
