Introducing the Ricoh GR III Diary Edition Compact Camera, a slim, compact camera that offers a powerful performance. The perfect premium compact camera for street photographers, the GR III features a newly developed GR 18.3mm F2.8 Lens, a rapid Hybrid AF, Shake Reduction, as well as a high-definition LCD Monitor with touch-screen operation and intuitive control. Cased in a metallic warm grey finish, the GR III boasts quality, style, and reliability.
Treated with an exclusive metallic warm grey finish and completed with a dark-brown rubber surface texture, the Ricoh GR III has been designed to ensure reliability and practicality for all-day shooting, as well as enhancing premium quality and style.
Featuring a high-definition LCD monitor with approximately 1,037,000 dots. The GR III Diary Edition has a touch-screen operation with intuitive control over a selection of camera functions, including menu selection, AF frame shift, and image magnification.
The GR III Diary Edition features a newly developed GR Lens 18.3mm F2.8, offering high-performance and high-quality imaging in a slim, compact design. Its optical construction consists of six optical elements in four groups, including a high-refraction, low-dispersion glass element, and a glass-moulded element to ensure images are consistently sharp and clear. The elements keep chromatic aberration and distortion to a minimum, whilst significantly reducing ghosting and flare when shooting in challenging light conditions. With a minimum focusing distance of six centimetres, users can enjoy macro shooting. Featuring a nine-blade diaphragm, the GR III Diary Edition can produce a natural bokeh and true depth.
Super-High-Resolution Images and Shake ReductionThe GR III features a combination of a contrast-type AF mechanism – superior in focusing precision, and a phase-detection-type AF mechanism for rapid focusing operation to create a faster and more responsive Hybrid AF System. Utilising a sensor-shift type Shake Reduction mechanism, the Ricoh GR III compensates for camera shake at the time of shutter release. The three-axis mechanism minimises effects of camera shake by as much as 4-steps.

Negative Film FeatureThe new image-control mode allows users to produce a negative-film finishing touch. This feature is based on the visual effects created by negative film, by balancing rich colours with somewhat discoloured prints that you would usually find from using negative film. |
New Image CountA new feature of the Ricoh GR III Diary Edition is the total image count display. This feature ensures the camera displays the number of images captured during the day, the number of recorded images, and the firmware versions just before its power is shut off. |
