Â
A medium sized bag of 18 litre capacity. Enough to hold my Nikon D850 and D800 with 24-120 and 70-300, AFD 60mm and one of the following 24, 35mm, 58mm or 85mm 1.4g lenses and a small SB 500 flashgun in the main compartment.
Initially, I bought the bag to gain access to my cameras and lenses without taking it off completely. Access is provide by spinning the backpack to the front, (leaving the waist strap on). This works reasonably well.
However, I have now switched to using a pair of peak designs capture clips (one V2 and one V3) to hold one DSLR body and lens (with a pd strap) and the 60mm Micro. The V3 capture clip squeezes the main straps width a little but I can't see that being a long term problem, though there will probably be some wear on the strap eventually, I can live with this. The V2 clip doesn't sequeeze the strap width, but this clip is only available use and its a little wider. With the capture clips on, I can get both lens and body back into the pack without taking the pack off completely, though I tend to remove the body from the clip (and keep it on the camera strap). I will probably move one of the clips to the hip strap in the future so that I can ditch the camera strap.
Comfort is a personal thing and I find it to be good overall with good quality straps and enought adjustment to keep me comfortable with varying loads and load arrangement. I find the sternum strap and hip strap helpful to get good overall comfort. However we all different so I don't know if the pack will suit everybody, the sternum and hip straps might be unnecessary for some and just get in the way. I generally only carry one body and for hiking and I don't have any issues in getting comfortable. With the pd capture clips, the pack can be pulled foward; by putting the hip strap on and carefully placing the remaining load lower down, comfort can be improved.
Superb quality bag and one that gives you confidence that it will last. Gobbled up my Olympus and three lenses, plus room for my lunch box (well sealed), flask and tripod.
Excellent camera bag not to big well made and very comfortable. Fits my camera with 200-600mm attached. With room for more lenses, clothes, map top, tablet and food.
