This lens is undeniably sharp, the images I have managed to get hand held and with a godox speedlight are insane all though I recommend using the tripod for best results. Just an example for you, I took some photos of my carpet in my living room at 1.1 macro and then digitally zoomed in to 100% and the image is crazy sharp. The detail in the little carpet fibres will blow your mind. By far the sharpest lens I have owned. You must be aware though of how narrow the depth of field is, if you don't know how to focus stack i recommend shooting at f8 or narrower to get your subject adequately sharp from front to back.
