Unlike my other more expensive speed-lights, which don't have auxiliary power ports, the Cactus EP-1 is the perfect partner for the RF60/RF60X when used in a night-time camera trap. It's also the least complicated piece of shooting equipment to work with. The only difficult thing about it for someone my age is the sliding switch to open the battery compartment. There are three actions: a button to push (which could be bigger), a cover to slide, and a draw to pull - something I keep forgetting how to do if I haven't used it for a while. For that alone, I felt that it should have come with a set of instructions. But, on the whole, an instrumental piece of kit for keeping your speed-lights powered on standby.
