Product Description

Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 L-Mount C DG DN Lens

SIGMA has combined performance and portability to bring you the Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 L-Mount C DG DN Lens. Offering a versatile 28-70mm focal length in a large aperture, standard zoom lens that is lightweight, compact and small – perfect for casual outings. Part of SIGMA’s Contemporary Line, this lens features a premium and intuitive build that presents superb coated optics to reduce optical aberrations, ultra-fast and quiet Auto Focus and precise action even when working outdoors in varying conditions.

Picture Perfect Portrait

Experiment creatively by taking advantage of the F2.8 rounded 9-blade aperture. Thanks to the ample volume of peripheral light, you can achieve a beautifully smooth bokeh effect in the background – ideal for portraiture and creating depth.

SIGMA's Optics

SIGMA have incorporated 16 elements in 12 groups, including 2 FLD (F Low Dispersion) elements, 2 SLD (Special Low Dispersion) elements and 3 aspherical elements. The lenses are strategically arranged to ensure there is a significant reduction of optical aberrations across the frame – correcting axial chromatic aberration, coma aberration and more.

Combatting Ghosting and Flare

The lenses are coated with a Super Multi-Layer Coating and Nano Porous coating to control ghosting and flare when working with bright light sources/backlit conditions. The petal-type lens hood also blocks unwanted light so images remain clear and sharp.

Fast Auto Focus

The fast, quiet stepping motor drives a responsive, and near-silent Auto Focus for smooth operation when shooting still and recording videos with enhanced audio. The Focus Mode Switch allows for instantaneous switching between Auto and Manual Focusing.

Linear/Non-Linear Focus

The L-Mount version of the Sigma 28-70mm lens supports switching between linear focus/non-linear focus ring settings – for your preferred focus movement method.

Durability

Living up to the standards of the Contemporary Line, the construction features a dust and splash resistant structure on the brass bayonet mount, as well as a water and oil repellent coating on the front lens element to prevent oil and fat sticking to the surface. The lens is engineered with a TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) to ensure performance levels remain stable in extreme temperature changes.
