The Leica Q (Typ 116) Black Anodized Digital Camera features a lightweight, yet durable magnesium and alloy body with a comfortable design. The Leica Q is equipped with the fastest lens in it's class - the Leica Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH Lens with 11 lenses in 9 groups with 3 aspherical lenses. With a focal length of 28mm, the lens has an angle of view that reproduces scenes with natural perspectives which is ideal for landscape photography. Macro mode is available with a close focusing distance of 17cm and the newly developed practical looking function for the selection of automatic or manual focusing. The 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor is specially attuned to the performance of the Summilux 28mm ASPH Lens to produce the best image possible!
The Leica Q produces almost noise-free and richly detailed pictures even in high ISO and features autofocus which is the fastest in the compact full-frame camera class. It functions almost in real time and is always ready to capture subjects. The newly developed processor from Leica Maestro II series processes the data arriving from the sensor with such speed that it allows continuous shooting at a rate of ten frames per second at full resolution. An integrated 3.68-megapixel electronic viewfinder allows reliable control of composition in every situation. In addition to 28mm at full resolution, the Digital Frame Selector also offers focal lengths of 35 and 50mm. The corresponding frames are displayed in the viewfinder at the press of a button. This means you can still see what is going on outside the bright-line frame and also have the ability to react more quickly and precisely to changed in and around the scene.
An integrated Wi-Fi module means you can share you photos and videos with everyone in an instant. The Free Leica Q App transforms your smartphone or tablet into a remote control to allow you to set the shutter speed and aperture and capture the scene. This makes it extremely easy to shoot from unusual angles and avoid camera shake when shooting with longer shutter speeds. The Leica Q can shoot videos in Full HD between 30 and 60 full frames per second. The Leica Q records high-quality moving pictures in MP4 video format and an integrated wind noise filter guarantees crystal-clear sound to match.
The Leica Q (Typ 116) is made with precision and quality. The top plate is machined from solid blocks of aluminium, the body is made of magnesium alloy and all lettering and the numbers on its setting dials are laser engraved.
